Here is the second in the series. These are fun to shoot. The sets are much simpler that they appear. It’s all about the light and how it’s applied to the objects.

Working on a new series of still life photos. I used to shoot stuff like this all the time. It’s good to get back to my roots. The idea behind these is to take very common objects and photograph them in a way that takes them to a totally different level.

My oldest kid… the photo says it all. Lucky for me, she makes a good test subject. Photo with my Sinar, 90mm lens, Profoto lights, a couple sheets of 160VC, a naturally occurring mess and a little attitude.

We have had tons of snow this winter. This one was on Christmas Eve, 2009.
No such thing as a simple snap shot at the Hinkle house… this one with a CFV back on my Hasselblad, 80mm lens and a battery powered Bowens strobe with a Mola dish.

A little west Texas snow on the TTU campus. Cold! Had to defrost my fingers a time or two. This photo via a Canon 5d mii with a 90mm t/s lens.
